Which are the ECs not Affected by the Second Timer Resale Levy

The second-timer applicants who have acquired BTO flats and second-timer applicants who obtains EC units direct from developers will have to pay a resale levy.

The levy will range from S$15,000 to S$50,000 depending on the flat type of their first HDB property. In the present, second –time direct buyers from EC developers enjoy lower EC price. These restrictions include initial eligibility and ownership. Paying resale levy is not necessary.

But, the new requirement will be imposed on EC land sales launched on or after December 9, 2013 including those that have closed their tenders yet.

Below are the current on-going ECs (already launched) that will not be affected by the Second Timer Resale Levy

Resale levy will not be imposed for these Government Land intend for Executive Condo development (Land already Sold). It also shows how much did the developers bid the land for and factor in the all the development & marketing cost showing the estimated breakeven ($PSF PPR).
